Earn Money with Transcription Jobs from Home

I wasn't looking for work-from-home jobs. I was just simply cruising on Facebook one day and found an article about transcription jobs. The article had listed five transcription companies that allowed you to work from home, I applied to two. I was accepted into Rev that week. My very first week I made $70, my husband gave me the, "I'll believe it when I see it," speech. So that following Monday I was paid my $70 and I couldn't have been happier.
Because of this company, because of the hard work I put in, I'm glad to say that I have helped my family so many times financially. This job has saved us so many times that I think to myself, "If it wasn't for this, we'd be screwed." Sure there are days where I get discouraged and think maybe it would be easier for me to go out and get a brick and mortar job, but then I remember above all else I'm a mother. I have four crazy kids at home and I don't want other people raising my children. It's MY job.
I can now proudly report that through the help of my income, my husband has now found a great paying local truck driving company where he is home every single day. My income supported our family of six through his employment transition.
So thanks Rev. I'm almost two years strong and don't plan to leave. I enjoy what I do here. I enjoy the people on the forums. I enjoy helping those who need it. Thanks for this opportunity, it has truly saved my family!

I started with Rev a little over a year ago, after a work injury ended my truck driving career. I love the fact that I can work from home, or anywhere else, for that matter. I am able to go on field trips (Washington, D.C., upcoming New York, zoos, etc) with my children, and attend a lot of functions that I would have missed as a truck driver. I'm not going to lie and say that the pay is equivalent to driving a truck, but I also don't have to worry about weather, missing dinners with my family, commuting, keeping my license and medical certification up to date, or being over 700 miles away from home when a family emergency strikes.
I also love some of the things I've learned since starting this. I'm always interested in the stories I transcribe, and feel like I'm being a part of someone's story. I love doing legal transcripts, and sometimes it's just an insurance interview, sometimes it's an interrogation, but it's always interesting. I have transcribed interviews with Elon Musk, Quentin Tarantino, Anthony Hopkins, Sally Fields, and many other famous people. It's ALWAYS interesting.

I'm a millennial. As much as I hear millennials don't want to work and seem entitled, I've always wanted to work and was never picky. However, after college I got tired of working as an intern as those are the majority of positions available. I studied to work in communications, especially journalism. I did get a few jobs in my area, but it seemed I was going nowhere with them. My goal was simple: to work hard until I was 30 so I could get out of my parents’ house. Never happened... but ever since I found Rev I feel I'm on the right path.
My family is spread across the globe. I was born in Mozambique. I live in Portugal. I lived in the UK for a while. With Rev, I was able to fund my trip to India and get to know relatives I didn't even know existed. I never thought I would enjoy transcription so much. It always seemed a menial task when I was working at newspapers. It was such a hassle to type interviews. Now that I only do that, I love it.
Every day I learn something different, which was the main reason (that and to change the world) I chose journalism in the first place. As I transcribe what someone is saying, I'm learning. Sometimes I swear I feel my brain growing.
Rev allows me to do things I wouldn't otherwise be able to do, plus I don't have to commute, deal with the stress of having a demanding boss and not enough of a paycheck. I may not be able to leave my parents' house for a while, but at least I'm able to contribute to expenses and fund many new adventures. Thank you, Rev.

As a stay at home mom of three kids, with a husband who works in the oil and gas industry, working has always been a challenge for me. What’s my availability? Well, that can change at a moment's notice, thanks to hubby's work. Daycare would be awful expensive and make me working pointless. I needed something where I could work from home. Over the years, I have tried a billion different things, all with very little money actually being made. Then I found Rev.
Here, I can work when, where and how much I want to. I can contribute to my household, without any of the problems I had before. I am learning interesting stuff all the time with these files, and meeting cool people in these forums. I was even able to 100% pay for Christmas for three kids with my income here! I love Rev and don't know what I'd do without it.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE working for Rev! I work 30 hours a week as a legal secretary, and do Rev part-time. I love that I can do it from home, in the comfort of my PJs.
I also love being paid once a week, and being able to keep track of how much I make with every job I turn out. I appreciate being heard. Every single time I have needed to address an issue, I have had a real person return my e-mail. No automatic replies! Which in today's world is a refreshing change. I love that every day is different.
I thank you every day for allowing me to work here—there are some weeks where I wouldn't be able to make it through the week without this extra income, and I am very grateful!

I took the plunge into the work at home adventure three decades ago and have much to compare Rev to. One thing I do love about Rev is its fantastic flexibility. We actually get to choose how much and when we work.
Many WAH opportunities crow about their flexibility. When you read their fine print, however, it says you must take whatever work comes your way -- but you can choose which five days of the week you want to work and whether you work morning or evening. Not all that flexible when you get down to the nitty-gritty of it. And life is all about the nitty-gritty.
This became startlingly real to me back in October when I was hospitalized for three weeks for sepsis and other things related to that nasty condition. Then I spent another couple of weeks unable to work after the hospitalization. I lost two writing contracts over that. As you know, freelancers don't get "sick time." Out of respect for those clients, they had deadlines to meet. Their hands were tied.
Once I could sit up again, I took stock of my freelance portfolio and there was Rev. Even with five weeks of zero production, my account with Rev was still in high standing. Better yet, work was flowing. As I got back into the groove and started looking for contracts to replace those I'd lost, my work at Rev provided groceries for me and the cat, kept the lights on, and gave me enough extra to buy Christmas presents for my grand-kids.
